Child Support:
A parent's duty of support for child shal continue beyond the age of majority (age 18), so long as the child continuously attends on a full time basis any recognized & accredited high school or court-issued child support order provides that the duty continues beyond the age of majority. Except in cases in which a support order requires the duty of support to continue for any period after the child reaches 19 years of age, the duty does not continue beyond the child's 19th birthday.
Criminal Law
Miranday Warning:
- You have the right to remain silent;
- Anything you say can & will be used against you in a court of law;
- You have the right to have an attorney present; and
- If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed prior to questioning, if you desire.
The foregoing warning is procedurally given by law enforcement persons (as required by law) whenever an individual is taken into custody (ie: arrested), or is otherwise deprived of his/her freedom to leave, (by said law enforcement persons), in any significant way, and is subjected to questioning.
Such warning is procedurally given to allow such individual an opportunity to protect his/her privilege against self-incrimination, or in other words, warn the individual prior to their possibly further subjecting themselves to criminal prosecution, because their own "words" spoken totally unaware of the foregoing constitutional rights.
If you find yourself in custody of law enforcement personnel, be cooperative by not resisting their directives and providing your correct name, date of birth, social security number & residential address, afterwhich, do not provide any information about the subject event itself and request an opportunity to seek the assistance of an attorney.
